best law tv shows
As voting season approaches in November, it’s important to learn about laws, and how they impact our communities.

Here are the best TV shows to binge watch, so you can learn about the legal system - and be entertained at the same time.

American Crime Story
American Crime Story dramatically re-enacts some of the most monumental legal cases to date. From the murder trial of O.J. Simpson, to the hunt for the killer of Gianni Versace, this TV show will make you an expert in investigating crimes and court proceedings.

The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst

As the son of a New York City real estate mogul, Robert Durst lived a luxurious and high-profile life. But not exactly a moral life. Police became suspicious when they realized he was connected to three murders in three different states. The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst looks into the disappearance of Durst’s first wife, the suspicious killing of his trusted confidante, and the death and dismemberment of a neighbor. Make sure you watch until the very end for a shocking twist.

Curious about what it’s like to work in a law firm? Suits follows the drama, politics, and legal cases of a top-Manhattan law firm after it hires Michael Mike Ross, an impressive college dropout. With a Rotten Tomatoes score of 90%, you already know that this show will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat.

Making a Murderer

For 18 years, Steven Avery sat in jail, wrongfully convicted and imprisoned for sexual assault and attempted murder. After being exonerated by DNA evidence, Avery was set free. But two years later, he was arrested, charged, tried and convicted for first-degree intentional homicide of photographer Teresa Halbach. Avery's nephew, Brendan Dassey, was also convicted of her murder, but later released on the grounds of attorney ineptitude. But many believe Avery is innocent. He is currently serving life in prison and is appealing the court for a re-trial.

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich

Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich looks into how Epstein abused his power and money to sexually prey on more than 20 minors and young women. This show puts Epstein’s survivors at the forefront, empowering them to tell their stories and how they’ve grappled with the aftermath of his crimes and his suicide.
